Air Biscuits and Angry Pygmies “Diary of an American Hero Turned Dad: Thursday G-Rated Jams! Definitely Safe for Work Stuff!

After spending 6 years only being home for short amounts of time, I had had very little contact with the kids. And thus, very little experience being the Dad!

This blog is about a Dad who has spent the better part of his adult life working as a Security Contractor. I was in the middle of Afghanistan when I received a phone call that I was needed back home.

Sixteen hours after receiving the phone call I was back in the USA and walking into a door to a completely new life. I had handed my weapon to the guy next to me and stepped onto the next airplane back to the US., wearing the same boots and clothes I was wearing when I received the call.

Six kids aged 17 to the twin 7 year olds....

Four boys and 2 girls...

3 Dogs, 4 Cats, a Turtle, a Guinea Pig (aka "Skinny Pig")...

What does ALL of that, plus more, equal up to???

CHAOS!! I walked in that first day and KNEW I was going to have to put on my game face and FAST. These are the tales of my stumbles, trips, tears, triumphs and AMAZING moments....

All of them me... Learning to be a DAD!
